December 2025 - TBD, subject to security approvals
CGS is conducting a comprehensive gender and market analysis in Siwa to provide a robust evidence base for the planning and implementation of the KHADRA project.
Using a mixed-methods qualitative approach, the assignment combines literature review, semi-structured interviews, focus group discussions, and field visits to examine gender dynamics, social norms, and market conditions. The analysis assesses inequalities in access to resources, opportunities, decision-making, and services, while integrating gender-disaggregated data and intersecting factors such as age, socioeconomic status, and disability.
It also examines local market characteristics and emerging economic niches across key sectors, including agriculture, tourism, artisanry, and silversmithing, generating evidence-based recommendations to support inclusive, sustainable, and women-responsive economic opportunities.
