A study of the financial behaviours, operational structures and market dynamics of informal enterprises, supporting Tasaheel in refining its microfinance offerings.

The consultancy was designed to support Tasaheel in refining its microfinance offerings by conducting a comprehensive study on the business models of informal enterprises in Egypt.

The study generated critical insights into the financial behaviours, operational structures, and market dynamics of three key business segments: livestock owners, clothing vendors (both shop-based and home-based), and shop owners in sectors such as clothing, mobile accessories, and home goods.

By evaluating these enterprises across different loan categories, the study provided data-driven recommendations to enhance financial inclusion and business sustainability.
