The consultancy was designed to support Tasaheel in refining its microfinance offerings by conducting a comprehensive study on the business models of informal enterprises in Egypt.
The study generated critical insights into the financial behaviours, operational structures, and market dynamics of three key business segments: livestock owners, clothing vendors (both shop-based and home-based), and shop owners in sectors such as clothing, mobile accessories, and home goods.
By evaluating these enterprises across different loan categories, the study provided data-driven recommendations to enhance financial inclusion and business sustainability.

A four-governorate scan pairing policy review with qualitative fieldwork to judge the viability of income-generating opportunities and pinpoint high-potential sectors for young entrepreneurs.

Designing mixed-method data collection tools and delivering baseline, end-line and periodic surveys for PSI II's results-based monitoring framework, under EU and Egyptian data protection compliance.
