The main goal of the endline evaluation study for the Strengthening Women Entrepreneurs in Egypt project was to assess the project's achievements against its intended outcomes and any unintended effects, and to analyse alignment with Plan International Egypt's Country Strategic Plan and contribution to overarching goals on gender equality and women's empowerment.
The evaluation reviewed the implementation process and identified lessons learned, best practices, and areas for improvement; assessed the sustainability of outcomes in terms of long-term economic empowerment of women and ongoing community impact; and evaluated the effectiveness of partnerships and collaborations with local stakeholders in supporting women entrepreneurs beyond project closure.
It provided actionable recommendations for future program design, management, and execution, and assessed the integration of crosscutting themes - gender equality, inclusion, and protection.
