Impact of Global Fund Reduction

Assessment of how aid reductions are affecting children's access to essential services in Egypt, with a focus on refugee populations and vulnerable host communities.

October 2025 - January 2026

CGS assessed the impact of recent aid reductions on children's access to essential services in Egypt, with a particular focus on refugee populations and vulnerable host communities.

The assignment examined how funding cuts, economic pressures, and changes in the national asylum framework are affecting service provision, organizational responses, and household coping strategies.

Through secondary data review and mapping of affected projects across sectors and locations, CGS generated evidence-based insights and practical recommendations to support program adaptation, inform partnerships, and strengthen advocacy efforts to protect children and vulnerable families.
