Design and support work covers the stages either side of delivery: shaping an intervention before it starts, and providing technical or management support while it runs.
This includes translating a strategy into an operational plan, developing results frameworks, and in some cases managing a component of delivery directly.
Design starts from the evidence available and is explicit about the assumptions it rests on. Where evidence is missing, the design says so rather than assuming a result.
Where CGS supports delivery, the division of responsibility with the client is agreed in writing at the outset.
